Specialty Pharmacy Network (SPN) is a privately held corporation with offices in Omaha, Nebraska and Los Angeles, California. SPN was founded in 2004 with the purpose of becoming the single source provider of billing and management information to the various payers and providers that participate in managing, administrating, consulting or paying for pharmacy. SPN staff consists of healthcare professionals and technology experts.

SPN’s initial product, the Over-Payment Pharmacy Identification System™ (OPIS), is a server-based application which screens medical claims that have a pharmaceutical component to identify which claims had been inaccurately paid. The OPIS system is robust in its data mining capabilities allowing SPN to identify indicators of overpayment based on a proprietary library of pharmacy edits.
